GRINDELIA Grindelia spp.
Liquid extract of dried flower buds & leaf.

  • Actions: Respiratory stimulant and expectorant. Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and vulnerary. Mild diuretic.
  • Uses: Harsh, dry, unproductive coughs with wheezing and constricted chest; asthmatic wheezing; bronchitis and sore bronchi. Removes detritus and mucous from kidney and urinary tract. Specific for swollen and congested spleen. Topically to treat wounds, indolent ulcers, impetigo, eczema, allergic dermatitis and poison ivy and poison oak.
  • Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 4 times per day. Topically apply full-strength (if well tolerated), or dilute with 2 or 3 parts water.
  • Cautions: Large doses may cause stomach irritation.
